Zushi town, Fuji and HD video test

We had small tropical cyclone over Tokyo area in the morning. After that sun came out, plus extra show - show covered Fuji.

First time, I am trying to upload videos in high definition from Canon video camera. This new service I discovered http://eyevio.jp/ allows direct upload in format run by video camera. So there is no need to convert to other formats. Quality is better than other video upload services. Video appears to be shaky since I did not use tripod.

Miura Peninsula and coast

Miura Peninsula is located South of Tokyo. Although it is close to Tokyo, it is not well known. There are interesting lava fields, which extends right into sea. Sea water, sun played with these rocks and turned them into various figures. No vulcano around there, so I really wonder how these lava fields were formed.

At the very end of Miura Peninsula is Joushima island. Following pictures are from Joushima island.

IFAF American Football World Cup: Japan - France

This was opening game of IFAF American Football World Cup 2007 in Japan. Japan played with France and win with 48:0. Pretty relaxed atmoshere, because Japan is one of favorites of tournament and champion of 1999 and 2003 world cups.

I went to see this game, because have not seen American football in real action and also because home team plays. So a lot of cheering and people buzzing around. Actually, this game was stopped all the time by referees, so it was a little bit borring. ♫

Hakone, trip to

video to be replaced

Hakone is relaxation area close to Tokyo. My primary purpose for going there was to see sulphur springs. There are several transportation modes - mountain train, cable car and rope way. Mountain train goes in zigzag, so sometimes driver will change his seat from front to rear of train. This mountain train goes really slowly and its possible to enjoy views around.

I get off half way. Walked down the road, but some how managed to get lost. I was thinking how locals get around these towns on mountain slopes. Then I discovered small trails running up and down hill, around fences. It got me on track again. Trails really lead to station.

There is many people around sulphur springs. Tourists enjoy buying black eggs, which are boiled right in those sulphur springs.

Access:
From Shinjuku station in Tokyo board Odakyu line for Odawara. Change there for Hakone Yumoto. From Hakone Yumoto station journey starts - take mountain train etc.
